We are currently looking to recruit an Assembly Operative to work within our fast-paced furniture assembly operation. Often a physically demanding role you will be assembling a vast range of wood-based products using various equipment including power tools, working to set targets and deadlines ensuring all complete products meet our expected high levels of quality.
The Role:
- Assembling a wide range of storage units, including cabinets, shelving systems, and modular storage products, using hand tools and power tools.
- Working from drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure products are built accurately and to a high standard.
- Meeting and exceeding production targets in line with manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure all storage units meet required quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area, including basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Building product knowledge across different storage unit ranges to improve efficiency and flexibility within the assembly operation.
- Supporting general warehouse and production duties as required.
The Person:
- Previous experience assembling furniture, storage units, or similar manufactured products (advantageous).
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
- Able to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good manual dexterity and confidence using hand and power tools.
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks associated with assembling and moving storage units.
- Rotating Shifts: 6am-2pm Mon – Thurs / Friday 6am – 12pm
2pm – 10pm Mon – Thurs / Friday 12pm – 6pm
