We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Machine Operator to work within our fast-paced Desking department. You will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce wood-based products ensuring quality, volume and safety standards are achieved, whilst maintaining your equipment which will involve a degree of manual handling.
The Role:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machine functions on production demands.
- Accurately input control instructions to run CNC machines.
- Take accurate measurements to ensure good working conditions of machines.
- Ensure Health & Safety legislation is compiled within a working context.
- Plan in advance and reduce CNC downtime.
- Manage tool data.
- Check specifications matches the CNC programmes.
- Cover hydraulic press operations as required.
- Maintain good 5S and housekeeping.
The Person:
- Previous exp. operating CNC machines (Ideally Saw, Edge bander, Drills or BIMA’s).
- Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and good attention to detail.
- Reliability with a can-do attitude is a must with a flexible approach to working time to meet production demands.
- Effective communicator across all levels.
- High levels accuracy to produce quality work first time.
- Good practical organisational skills and computer literacy.
Rotating Shifts: 6am-2pm Mon – Thurs / Friday 6am – 12pm
2pm – 10pm Mon – Thurs / Friday 12pm – 6pm
