The Role
- Lead team of design and development engineers to produce innovative solutions in line with project time frame.
- Oversee the design and development life cycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure project gateways/milestones are adhered to and update in line with ISO standards providing weekly project updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, production, marketing and sales, to ensure projects are delivered in line with business objectives.
- Responsible for all new product data and introduction of that data to the business.
- Provide support in the setting of policies and product introduction.
- Product sector gate keep for the life of the product.
The Person
- Project management experience, prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
- Background in engineering, manufacturing and /or product development.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risk and challenges.
- Strong organisation and planning skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Effective communicator with clients, stakeholders and team members.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel).
