Our tailored solutions team is seeking an experienced CAD Technician with a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm for problem solving. You will play a key role in customising our standard products to meet the unique needs of our customers.

The Role:
• Design and re-modelling bespoke Desking products based on customer requests.
• Using SolidWorks design package to develop 3D models and drawings, which will be used in manufacturing process.
• Provide accurate and concise drawings and production specifications to suppliers.
• Monitor Tailored Solutions planner to ensure jobs are processed by priority order and within the timescales stipulated by the production schedule. 
• Discuss ideas with internal technical teams and external suppliers using industry standard engineering terminology.
• Provide technical support to the Production and Sales team.
• Provide support across other roles within the Tailored Solutions team.

The Person:
• Previous experience in similar design role.
• Experience of creating/interpreting Engineering drawings to British Standard practice.
• An understanding of production processes including machine and material capabilities and limitations.
• Ability to think outside the box when determining best-fit solutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to organise workload and prioritise where possible.
• SolidWorks / AutoCAD experience.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above).
• Certification in an Engineering related subject obtained at Further or Higher Education Level.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
